The Religious Education program at St. Cecilia Parish is committed to faith formation and formal training of children as well as providing on-going opportunities for adults to further their understanding of our faith. The goal is to inspire and motivate each other to develop love of the Father, have a personal encounter with Jesus Christ with guidance and knowledge of the Holy Spirit. We will build an understanding of the basic beliefs in the Roman Catholic faith and lay the foundation and encouragement to carry those beliefs to the community.
Religious Education for Children:
Welcome to the home page of the Religious Education Program for Children. It’s hoped that the information and forms found in this section is helpful and answers your questions. The primary function of the Religious Education program for children is to train and form children in the Catholic faith. Children in grades one (1) through eight (8) are welcomed and accommodated. The Religious Education program is also adaptable and will try to accommodate children of special circumstances. Accepting your child into the program is not based on you being a parishioner of the parish. Regular Mass attendance is strongly recommended to reinforce classroom learning.
The Religious Education program follows the South Brunswick school calendar for holidays. The Religious Education program also follows South Brunswick school closings for inclement weather. Early dismissal and the cancelling of after school activities due to an impending weather event will also necessitate the cancelling of classes for religious education for that evening.
