Prime Time Seniors was established in January 1999. It was the “brainchild“ of Mary D’Agostino, who insisted that we needed a social senior club where seniors could get together over a cup of coffee/tea and share ideas, have fun, and help others in the process.
We meet on the first Tuesday of the month in the parish hall. Meetings consist of speakers on any number of topics, for example, health, safety, honoring our veterans, taste testing, sharing recipes, etc.
We also plan luncheons several times a year or go to a show, for example, Radio City Music Hall in New York City, or the Hunterdon Hills Playhouse in Hampton, NJ, etc.
In addition to our fun-time activities, we also assist our local Social Services with the “Backpack Drive“ each year. Through the generosity of our parishioners, we collect school supplies and backpacks, fill the backpacks with supplies, and deliver them to Social Services for distribution to those in need in the South Brunswick area.
Every November, we set up the Advent “Giving Tree“, and collect gifts from our generous parishioners, sort them, and package them for distribution to needy families in South Brunswick. This enables a blessed Christmas for children whose families may not otherwise be able to provide them with gifts.
We are always looking for new friends to join us, new ideas and suggestions, so that we may continue the success of our fun group.
Join us, won’t you?
