Confirmation is the final of the ensemble of the Sacraments of Initiation into the Church. The others are Baptism and the Eucharist.
Confirmation completes the grace of Baptism by a special outpouring of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which seal or "confirm" the baptized in union with Christ and equip them for active participation in the worship and apostolic life of the Church. But by no means is this the end of a person's life in the Church. In fact, it is just the beginning! With the Gifts of the Holy Spirit now firmly implanted in the newly Confirmed, the opportunity is now provided for the person to use the Gifts of the Holy Spirit to help others in the Parish to grow and deepen their relationship with the Triune God.
Newly Confirmed members of the Parish are invited to immerse themselves in the manifold opportunities available at the Parish in our many Ministries and our Religious Education Program, to support the broader Roman Catholic Church.
Information about the Sacrament of Confirmation for children is available as part of our Religious Education Program. Adults who wish to receive the Sacraments of Initiation are asked to contact the Parish Office at (732)-329-2893 and discuss with the staff the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA).
